Fallout 4 High Res Texture Pack Coming To PC; PS4 Pro Upgrades Outlined ‘Fallout 4’ PS4 Pro Support, PC High Res Textures Coming Next Week
PlayStation 4 Pro support includes native 1440p resolution, enhanced draw distance for trees, grass, objects, and NPCs, and enhanced Godray effects. Be sure to clear out hard drive space, because the texture pack will require a whopping 58GB of additional storage. Thankfully, you can disable the high-resolution textures at any time from the game’s launcher if you run into performance issues. The developer has released a new set of recommended PC specs for players who want the texture pack.
Beginning next week, Fallout 4’s update 1.9 on the PS4 will allow Fallout 4 to make use of the extra power of the PS4 Pro.
Are you going to give the high resolution texture pack a spin, or is your PC too weak to handle it?
The mod upgrades will be detailed next week, when we’re also expected to learn the release date of the patch.
Fallout 4 and Skyrim Special Edition will gain a free update, with the updates coming to Xbox One, PS4, and PC users for free. Here are the specs Bethesda says you’ll need to “meet or exceed”.
